The Foxx @ SXSW

My cousin's band, The Foxx, was invited to play three shows at South-by-Southwest this week (SXSW) in Austin. If you are a fan of a fun "Glam" sound, you should really check them out.

Shows
Mar 19 2009 SXSW @ Spiderhouse - 4PM AUSTIN
Mar 20 2009 SXSW @ Spiderhouse - 7PM AUSTIN
Mar 21 2009 SXSW @ Club 115 - 11pm AUSTIN

"Hailing from Albuquerque, the Foxx is a glittery four-piece fronted by ex-Rondelle singer Juliet Swango. The glam-rock-influenced group has gone on to release two full-length albums, (s/t and Lila) and one 7-inch on the legendary Vinyl Countdown Records. Currently working on their third full-length, the Foxx is continuing to harness their mind-blowing, gritty, glossy sounds. Melding the glitz of the 70's glam movement with the hidden gems of the underground 60's garage era, the Foxx have put a modern spin on what they all love. Influenced by bands such as Roxy Music, Sparks, and the great Little Richard."

Check out The Foxx on the SXSW Website (Tim isn't in this pic -- it's an old pic with their old guitar player), or listen to some of their songs on their MySpace page.
