Spring in Durham begins at home in small ways, but to see the grand potential, one must walk around the Duke Garden. Paige told me the tulips were exploding, so Friday I knocked off work at a reasonable hour (5 EDT) and we headed out. Lovely! (The photos that are early in the deck are some I took early Friday morning, as the sun was coming up behind our winter kale and a turnip that never "bulbed," which we're letting go to seed.)
