Rainy Spring Morning

Just took a little time this morning to walk around the house. I've been keeping very busy in the yard, keeping the clover down around our beds, constructing a new planter to contain our blackberry bush, prepping and finally planting our front flower bed... Everything here is so green. One day we woke up and the wisteria were finished, the azaleas flowers were dropping, and the gaps between the trees and vines were disappearing. Everywhere you look it's green. Ferns, vines, trees, shrubs... trees that anywhere else would be shrubs, like our 15-foot tall Holly tree! The birds sing every morning, the squirrels play, Baby Cat sits in windows and chirps, Sam luxuriates out in the sun or curls in his bed on the cooler, damp days like today. I'm excited to have our flowers up.
